Like a lion championing its cub, we are dedicated to empowering children and young people by identifying and removing barriers to learning, building on their strengths, and helping them discover meaningful opportunities to thrive.
Our founder, Dr. Esther Aslan, draws inspiration from the Turkish word ‘Aslan’, meaning lion—a symbol of strength, protection, and guidance. This ethos reflects our commitment to supporting children and young people, much like lions nurture their cubs as they grow and develop. We integrate this guiding philosophy with evidence-based practices to deliver tailored and impactful services.
Our Services

Based out of our office in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, we work across Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Hampshire and London. We offer assessments and consultations in schools, homes, and our office.
Assessing cognitive, emotional, and social development to identify individual learning needs, with services available for commissioning by schools, families, and young adults over the age of 18. We are committed to providing culturally responsive and inclusive care wherever it is needed. Our multilingual support includes English, German, Turkish, Bengali, Arabic and Urdu. We appreciate that meeting a stranger to complete a series of tasks can be unnerving for many children and young people. Our aim is to create a supportive and relaxed environment, often starting with ice-breaking activities like discussing their interests or playing a game to help them feel at ease. Tasks are divided into manageable segments with breaks to keep them engaged, making the experience feel comfortable and even enjoyable. Following the assessment, a detailed report is provided to parents and schools, offering practical insights and recommendations to support the child's education. Our services are typically sought for:
- Assessing and identifying learning difficulties.
- Providing tailored strategies to support children and young people in overcoming barriers to learning caused by emotional, social, or cognitive challenges.
- Conducting assessments to determine appropriate accommodations, from school-level exams to higher education assessments.
- Assessments of a child or young person’s cognitive profile for schools as part of their admissions process.
- Providing post-diagnostic support through tailored strategies to enhance learning, regulation, and support emotional well-being at home and school.
Offering specialised services to international schools, including assessments, staff training, and consultation to address the needs of a global student body. We cater to American or British curricula across Asia and the Middle East.
We offer one-off or block consultations for schools and parents looking to address specific matters related to an individual child, a group of children, or broader school-level developments. Parents may seek a consultation for guidance on navigating challenging situations such as divorce or bereavement with their children or for support in managing specific learning difficulties at home. Consultations are followed up a by a brief record of points and actions discussed as well as signposting if appropriate.
Head injuries can significantly affect a child’s cognitive, emotional, and social development, often creating barriers to learning and participation in school. Esther provides tailored support to help children rebuild skills, adapt to new ways of learning, and access the resources they need to thrive in their educational environment. Esther is available for work from Case Managers regarding children with acquired brain injuries.
